HomeSEO vs AEO vs GEO
SEO, AEO, and GEO are different questions
Search, answer engines, and generative engines reward different kinds of clarity. Findora AI checks public pages and can include a Grok model check. Public-page audit plus Grok model checks. We do not query ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity yet.
Three practices, three checks
The names overlap in marketing, and they should not overlap in a report. Use the table as a glossary. The last column is what Findora AI will and will not say today.
| Practice | The question | What you can check on a public page | What Findora AI does today |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO | Can a person and a classic crawler understand the page from its own text? | Titles, headings, and sentences that state the offer without requiring a login. | The audit fetches public pages and keeps a quote plus the URL. |
| AEO | Does the page answer a specific question in language a reader can verify? | A direct description of the product, the audience, and the price, each tied to evidence. | The audit can show that the answer is missing or present on the page. It does not query an answer engine. |
| GEO | Could a generative answer quote a fact and point back to this page? | A concrete sentence and a stable URL a person can open. Not a claim that a model already cited it. | Generative citations are not measured. A Grok model check is not a citation rate. We do not query ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity yet. |
How to use this comparison
If a page cannot be understood from its own text, classic SEO and any later answer-engine work both stall. Start with the public-page audit. Read the methodology page for the labels Observed, Inferred, and Hypothesis, and for the separate Grok check status.
A sample report is a labeled illustration. It is not a measurement of AI visibility, and it is not proof that SEO, AEO, or GEO “worked.” We do not query ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity yet, and the audit does not guarantee an AI recommendation, mention, or citation.
